Drama question 2.3

American Theatre distinguishes itself with plays focused on realistic themes,
often reflecting current events and society.
If you were to write an American play, what would you write about? Why?

    i would write about the revolutionary war because it has alot to tell about the history of the United States.Also i want to tell about the people who had to die just to free the country.

    I would write a story about someone who is learning how to be a pilot. He crashes on an island and finds a paper airplane and has to figure out how to replicate it on the island in order to get home. It would an enjoyable story about not giving up! It could be called "Paper Patience."

    I would write about Carnivals because to show how much just one small park can bring so much joy to thousands of people.

    If I had to write a play, it would be about computers. I would write about the joys of, plain, pressing buttons.

    I would write about teen life/drama because many people ( specifically teens) can relate to the play in many ways. Since I am a teen, the play would attract more people because it would have true facts about actually being a teen rather than the phony, fake opinios other play writers have.

      I agree with you. Many people will be able to relate to that especially teens. It might possibly teach lessons.

    I would write about the way women were treated all along time ago. I would write about women rights because I think I can put a twist on the way women fought back and make it some what like a comedy. If I were to put this play on braodway I would name it "Womens Rights Good and Bad." If I were to produce an American play then it would be about Womens rights.

    I would right about teens and what they are going through in life. This maybe important because teens think their life sucks and its not appreciated. If you look on the bright side of things you can have a happy and normal teen life. Mines would be about a teen who is going through a lot of things and think they should commit suicide. When they think about the good sides of their life they understand to appreciate it and don't let anything get in the way or bring you down.

      I agree with NaiLah because as preteens we can relate to alot of things teenagers go through and we can probably create an interesting play based on life experiences.

    If i had to write a play it would be about war. I think it is more interesting with war and stuff of that nature, and it could make the play more dramatic.

      the reason that you choose war does it have to do with the fact you play a lot of video games or is it just very interesting the thought of a play having all the action of war but how plays are in real life and not with the effects of computer is it cool to you real people making all the action in real life and seeing the out come

    I would write about bullying and the lives of kids being bullied because right now this is a huge issue. I would talk about things like cyber bullying or just the normal way of bullying at school. I would do this to show how these kids feel waking up every day and feeling as if theyre in danger. I would probably include all the terrified by standers who want to stand up but feel in danger as well.These bullies need to know what these kids think and feel and maybe they wont feel like theyve "achieved" something.

    i would write about martin luther king because he fought for black rights and is famous for his 'i have a dream ' speech . my play will be about martins life throughout that period and the challenges he faced to get where we are today and and at the end of the play i will put the present day of like obama being the presidant and obama will be reciting the 'i have a dream " speech to show all the hard work martin did to fight for black rights

    i would write about how people get though problems in there life and dont just sit there and wait for it to go away they take care of i by them self
