About me

Meegan Turet has over 20 years of teaching and directing experience. Her theatrical studies began in high school and was further developed with a B.A. in Dramatic Art (with a Children's Theatre specialization) at the University of California, Santa Barbara, teaching credentials from San Jose State University, and most recently earning an M.A. from Lesley University in Community Arts (Theatre Specialization). Her teaching experience ranges from k-12 classroom teaching to coordinating extra-curricular arts programs to developing Drama education curriculum and Theatre productions in California, Boston, and internationally in Venezuela and Switzerland. She brings her combined expertise of teaching, directing, mentoring, and collaborating to the Academy of the Pacific Rim, where she also coordinates the high school's summer Pacific Rim Enrichment Program (P.R.E.P.). As a life-long learner, she is continuously pursuing her education through workshops, courses, and school and community partnerships to gain additional expertise to bring the APR Theatre program to new heights.
